ASSESS DHT Launches an Open Call for Testing the Usability of the ASSESS DHT Process and Tools for Assessing DHTs

ASSESS DHT has developed a novel assessment framework, surpassing existing models, to ensure consistent Health Technology Assessment (HTA) of digital health technologies across Europe and addressing emerging challenges in areas such as Digital Therapeutics, Artificial Intelligence, and telehealth. This framework could be applied to a variety of technologies, incl. mHealth, AI-based health technologies, and telehealth, and covering all stages of their lifecycle. The framework is operationalised in the form of an assessment manual, an assessment process via evidence requests, supported by multi-stakeholder tools aimed at guiding the generation and evaluation of evidence.

While the framework is still being refined, ASSESS DHT is seeking specialists with expertise in DHT development and HTA assessment to act as early adopters of the ASSESS DHT framework, contributing to its refinement through structured usability testing and expert feedback. They will be introduced to different elements of the framework, asked to review/test them, and provide feedback to the ASSESS DHT consortium.

Participants are expected to assess the clarity, feasibility, and usability of different HTA processes and supporting tools, identify strengths and gaps, and provide constructive suggestions for improvement. This feedback will be used by the ASSESS DHT consortium to enhance the practical applicability, transparency, and efficiency of the framework for future real-world use, without resulting in any formal HTA decision or endorsement.

The application deadline is 17 April 2026, at 17:00 CET.
