The Austrian Institute for Health Technology Assessment

The AIHTA is an independent academic institution for scientific decision-making support in the health sector. We provide the scientific basis for decisions in favor of an efficient and appropriate use of resources. In this process, we adopt a broad socially-relevant view of medical interventions. We are committed to a qualitative concept of progress.

Role in the project

AIHTA is collaborating in several work packages and will lead the piloting of the newly developed framework in a case study (Diabetes), and thus will contribute to the validation of the methodology.
