Understanding the diversity of digital health technologies (DHT) is crucial for addressing the variation in assessment approaches needed for these technologies. A taxonomy can help group DHT according to criteria relevant for the purpose of health technology assessments (HTA) in healthcare systems. Existing taxonomies, including their criteria for grouping DHT often follow different logics and may not fully address the latest innovations in DHT, making them to some extent inappropriate for assessment purposes.
This Deliverable, D2.1 Taxonomy of Digital Health Technologies (DHT) for Assessment Purposes, provides an overview of the first version of a taxonomy that shall enable us to further develop evidence requirements for assessing DHT.
